3-Miles
12- & 8-Inch PVC Water Main
Evaluated 2 Alignment Options
Cabbiness Engineering has contracted with the City of Edmond to provide full and competent engineering services to design the extension of an existing 12-Inch PVC water main for approximately 3-Miles generally along a route commencing from the intersection of Douglas Boulevard and East Covell Road, then easterly to the intersection of East Covell Road and Westminster Road, thence south along Westminster Road to East Danforth Road, then east along East Danforth Road to a point of connection with the Town of Arcadia’s water distribution system, which will be an 8-Inch PVC pipeline. A secondary alignment was also investigated for cost and constructability comparisons. The secondary alignment proposed generally followed along a route commencing from the intersection of Douglas Boulevard and East Covell Road, then south along Douglas Boulevard to the intersection of Douglas Boulevard and East Danforth Road, thence east along East Danforth Road to a point of connection with the Town of Arcadia’s water distribution system.
Additionally, one-third (1/3) of the Design cost is attributed to the right-of-way acquisition needed for the selected alternative/alignment, which will be handled by Craig Cunningham of Smith Roberts Land Services (SRLS).
